Who we support
There are so many amazing organizations already doing incredible work and we want to support them. The hardest part is choosing between all of the wonderful groups out there, but here are some that we currently support along with our own work to advance our mission.

ShatterProof
Shatterproof's Substance Use Disorder Treatment Task Force has developed the National Principles of Care, a standard for addiction treatment based on proven research. And for the first time ever, 16 leading healthcare payers have agreed to unite around this standard. With this agreement, we're closer than ever to ensuring that every American with a substance use disorder has access to quality, evidence-based treatment.
Shatterproof also takes on federal and state advocacy battles, mobilizing families affected by addiction and providing them with a platform to make their voices heard. Your advocacy support has helped 15 states pass life-saving legislation: broadening access to lifesaving naloxone, strengthening prescription drug monitoring programs, and ensuring prescriber practices align with CDC guidance on opioids.

The Phoenix
Motivated to build a healing community for anyone affected by addiction, Scott Strode founded The Phoenix in 2006. What began as a bike ride with a group of sober peers in Boulder, Colorado is now a national nonprofit that has reached more than 427,000 people across 50 states through free in-person activities (fitness, socials etc.), on-demand content, and a robust digital community.

TEDx
TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events. These events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in their local areas that spark conversations in their communities. TEDx events include live speakers and recorded TED Talks, and are organized independently under a free license granted by TED. These events are not controlled by TED, but event organizers agree to abide by our format, and are offered guidelines for curation, speaker coaching, event organizing and more. They learn from us and from each other. More than 3000 events are now held annually.
TED is on a mission to discover and spread ideas that spark imagination, embrace possibility and catalyze impact. Our organization is devoted to curiosity, reason, wonder and the pursuit of knowledge — without an agenda. We welcome people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world and connection with others, and we invite everyone to engage with ideas and activate them in your community.
